I mean holy hell they are expensive. I was not expecting 200 bucks. Thinking about asking for one because ya know Christmas. Tell me what you think and if it is worth it.

PS: Where can you find one cheap?

Ebay should have them used. Any Logitech, Fanatec, or Thrustmaster wheel should work with gt6, and There's a lot more options for wheels than the Xbox 360. I have a cheap thrustmaster for it.

I have the one pictured and I love it. As a bonus Logitech support is pretty much unmatched: my pedals stopped working a year out of warranty and they sent me a replacement wheel at no charge.

I think I got mine for like $150 on sale once

Try looking at a Logitech G27, they're about $220 on Amazon but really high quality. It'll work great with your PS3 and if you ever get into PC simulation driving, you'll be thankful you have one. As far as whether or not its worth it, that's a personal opinion but I really think it is. Its worth it for the additional immersion factor and control you have over the cars.

Get a G25 or G27, you won't regret it.

$200? I paid $200 for my G27 a year or so ago. It's not as convenient like the d-pad and buttons are on the shifter console rather than the steering wheel.

I haven't used a G25/G27, but I do have the Driving Force GT. it will take maybe a couple of weeks of playing, but trust me, you will be much much faster with it.

Initially i used it on a table, which was fine but not ideal. Then i happened to find a cheap playseat come up, about 20 mins from me, and bought that second hand. It was a mighty fine investment.

In summary, if you want to go fast, or just have more fun, get a wheel. its guuuuuuud :D

Used Driving Force GTs can be had for under 100$ where I'm from. I don't imagine it should be much different over le yonder.

I felt like it would be more fun and faster. I get frustrated when I lose only because of the dumb analog controller.

It's a really good price. Works for PC too.

Good to know. I would hate for it to break shortly after I bought it.

Yeah but it is worth it driving around the track right?

its much easier to make small adjustments to your steering and throttle when using the wheel, so you can get rid of TC all together, which will make you smoother, and accordingly, faster

As the Canadian Olympic MTB coach kept saying to his team, "smooth is speed". Different context, but the saying has stuck with me for racing

It's been very reliable for years. It was 3 years old when it broke, and it was only the pedals
